Random Pictures

It's been a while since I added pictures, so here are a bunch. This is Isaac wearing my mom's reading glasses. They're zebra striped. Rawr!

This is Isaac singing "you are my sunshine" at his preschool art show.
v
Riding his smokin' hot Huffy Rockit! He loves his new bike. At first he said, "It's a little bit wiggle tippy." But now he says "I can keep trying."

Lincoln and Isaac with their friends after going to the Charmingfare Farm in NH one last time. We love those kids!

Isaac at swimming lessons. He loved his teacher.

Lincoln got his turn too. He's in the "perch" class and I have to go in the water with him. On his first day Jon was home early so he went in. Lincoln is so funny. He gets totally distracted by everything going on around him. Yesterday his teacher asked him to show how to blow bubbles. He pointed to a man standing by the pool and said, "He's tall, huh."

Isaac eating at his art show with Ayana. I got the feeling that they have a "love-hate" relationship going. One day when I picked him up he said, "I be nice to Ayana today." I thought, oh great. What does that mean you do every other day? And it's also nice to know that he's picking up some ebonics as well. :)

Great inventors. Isaac and Lincoln made "chimneys" with all of our t.p. and p.t.

Having Isaac's birthday cupcakes at the park in Nebraska.

Birthday dinner.

Mr. Cool on the potty. He actually won't go but he'll sit there for hours (literally) as long as I keep reading.

Do you see why I said, "love-hate?"

Oh yeah, that.

So I realize that most everyone knows, but it occurred to me that I haven't posted the baby's gender on our blog yet. It's a...

BOY!

Yes, that will make 3 boys, 4 if you count Jon. And I certainly do count Jon because that's one more male to mess up the toilet. :)

At first we were a little...worried. Yes, what are we going to do with 3 little boys? Now, I think, hey, I don't have to buy ANYTHING. And sharing bedrooms won't be a big deal, and we won't have to pay for weddings, and all sorts of great things.

You know what? I like boys. And I found a shirt at Old Navy the other day that says, "Life, liberty and the pursuit of BOYS." So I bought it in XL so I can wear it during the pregnancy.

I'm Too Little

That's right. 5 months prego but this was my conversation with Isaac today.
I ran into the room and tackled him and this is what happened:

Isaac: Stop wrestling me mom, you're too little to wrestle.
Me: I don't think I'm too little.
Isaac: Daddy's big and you're little.

Thanks Isaac. I needed that.

The Great House Hunt

I officially don't like looking for a house. Jon and I are both very picky people and cheap at the same time. That doesn't really work well when looking for a house. We looked at 7 houses on Tuesday (with the boys) and let me just say, WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE SO MANY KNICK KNACKS?"

Here's why, so my kids can play with them and give me a heart attack. Actually, in my mind I think, go ahead and break it boys, because it's really tacky and these people don't need so much clutter.

At this point I'm pushing for one house and Jon for another. He likes the nice one and I like the...let's just call it "the brown suck house."

Maybe we can find a door number 3.

Things I like about Jon

This entry is dedicated to Jon for Father's day.

1. Jon will wrestle with the boys and play made up games like "goonie willies" and "little Indian worm." I bet you wish you got to play those games.
2. Jon likes to sneak the boys treats when I'm not looking (sometimes I don't know if I really like this one).
3. Jon will make such a fool of himself at any time if it will make the boys smile.
4. Jon is a great provider. We've been very blessed.
5. Jon loves his family.

Fathers and Sons

Jon isn't actually in these pictures because he was behind the camera. But I figure this is a good way to say Happy Father's Day. Jon took the boys (along with his dad) on the Fathers' and Sons' campout to camp Joseph. We lucked out by being in NH for a little while. The boys got to see the Joseph Smith Memorial and have a great time cooking hot dogs and roasting marshmallows. Not to mention that Isaac could pick his nose without mom intervening. :)

Isaac's songs

Isaac is really into making up songs lately. Today I listened more closely to his latest and this is how it goes:

"It’s time for wake up time.
And open the door.
Don’t touch the printer."

Can you tell what we've been asking him to do/not do lately?

Another one that both of boys sing constantly is:

"To the tires, to the tires, to the tires, da da da."

Sometimes that change "tires" to "party with the CD's."

I don't really know where these things come from, but I figured I should write them down before I forget.
