For Karlye!

One day the boys got into the pantry and opened up the cocoa powder. Although this did not turn out pleasantly for Lincoln, he still wants to play with it on a daily basis. Basically every morning Jon and I hear, "Hey Lincoln, you wanna get some cocoa powder?" "Yes, I wanna get some cocoa powder."

Same week as the cocoa powder incident. That's 3.5 dozen eggs. Why on earth did we have 3.5 doz. eggs - for Easter of course!

Isaac finding an egg - we live in New Hampshire so we had to have our hunt inside.

Funny things about Isaac:

He leaves the room for 2 minutes and comes back in completely naked. He would take 12 baths a day if he could.
A couple weeks ago he was apparently incredibly reverent in Primary, so yesterday they had a little presentation for the sunbeams. They got little badges that said, "I was caught being reverent." Proudest moment of my life. How on earth did he fool them?

Funny things about Lincoln:

He knows the name of every deacon/teacher in our ward. And he says their names loudly as they pass the sacrament.
He speaks like an adult - sentences, paragraphs, multisyllabic words, but he still can't say "L" which is funny because he calls himself Yincoln.

Are you on the "sape side?"

Lincoln wanted to sleep with Isaac. Pretty cute.

Today, Jon took the boys around the house to find a monster. It happened to be in the boys' closet. But the monster can't get you if you're on the safe side of the closet. Lincoln told me he was on the "sape side" and that the "chinchilla monster can't get me." (yes, our 23 month old says chinchilla)

Last night I stayed in the boys' room for a few minutes after they were tucked in and lights were out. This is the conversation they had with each other:

Lincoln says "Isaac"
Isaac says, "You want crackers for dinner?"
Then directed to me, Isaac says "Lincoln wants crackers for dinner."

Wow, where did that come from?

Cruising the Caribbean

Here we are on the "formal night." Some people took the term "formal" to a whole new level.

We did the ATV adventure in the Dominican Republic. We had an awesome guide who took us to a private beach. Even though it rained like crazy, we had a great time.
Jon drinking the coconut concoction - non-alcoholic of course.

Some local kids put on a bit of a show for us by jumping from high trees into the falls.

We went to the spa one day and got massages and I got a pedicure.

In Tortola we did the cave exploration. It was beautiful.

Walking back to the ship.

Laying by the pool.

The Bahamas Stingray snorkel and feed.

We actually thought our cabin was really big.

Cruising the Caribbean

Jon and I took our first vacation without kids just before Christmas. We went on a Caribbean cruise and had a blast. It was warm and sunny (unlike NH) and we went on some sweet excursions.

Snow, snow, snow, snow

I know you can't hear the blog, but you're supposed to sing the title like that song from "White Christmas." We had the first big snow of the season a week or so ago and the boys had a blast. We tried to make a snowman but it turned out more like a snow mountain. Oh well.

Making Out with the Kitchenaid

We loooove the kitchenaid. Jon and the boys made cookies one night after FHE. Mostly the boys eat and get messy, but it's lots of fun.

Family Picture Time

It's always a slightly painful experience to have family pictures taken. We couldn't get Lincoln to smile for anything, which is totally uncharacteristic. But it's over and we don't have to do it again for at least 365 days!
